In this picture I hope to conjure moments of deep feeling, of hope, by means of light.

Natural light has a strength which is the root of life, and thus a mystical attraction possessing a certain presence: the symbol of life and hope, light as a way to peace.

If there is even a small chance that this picture will encourage reflection on Life, or elicit interest and concern in the work of bringing new life safely into this world, I would feel gratified.
